GMs! Details Matter

To be a successful GM, your adventures and settings must connect deeply with your players. Your designs must appear real so they develop a presence and life of their own. A lack of attention to detail renders your creations flimsy, insubstantial and unbelievable.

Study the details and let them guide and shape your design. Embracing detail forces decisions and inevitably creates flavour. Details move you away from the generic and toward the distinctive and the remarkable.

Details matter.

Features such as rooms and chambers must be described with verve and sufficiently detailed in content to make each seem as if it were strange and mysterious.
